This section basically consists of monsters that can fly. Most of them have a quite high Air score. This does not always denote cunning or intelligence, but generally their abilities at manoeuvring in the air.
Achiyalatopa This bird is protected with feathers made of flint. They are as sharp as knives and it uses them to hunt. It is
extremely strong to counter the weight of it's stone feathers.
Fire: 5 Earth: 4 Water: 2 Air: 4 Powers: Can fly, stone armour, razor sharp wings
Boobrie This is an unusual bird in that it is made entirely of water. This aids it when it fishes to go under the water
invisible to it's prey. However it does mean it must hide when it is hot.
Fire: 3 Earth: 2 Water: 4 Air: 4 Powers: Can fly, made of water
Firebird This bird is sometimes mistaken for a phoenix, but they are very different. It's plumage is a brilliant silver and
gold and it's whole body sparkles. It glows brightly in the dark, indeed just a single feather can light up a dark
room. However it's two most prized attributes are that facts that it's song can heal the sick and when it sings
pearls fall from it's beak.
Fire: 2 Earth: 2 Water: 4 Air: 4 Powers: Can fly, healing song, glows, create pearls.
Gagana It's a miracle that the Gagana can fly since it has an iron beak and copper claws. It uses these to crack open
tortoise shells, easily getting to the meat inside. They are just as useful in cracking skulls, so one should be
careful around these creatures.
Fire: 2 Earth: 4 Water: 2 Air: 3 Powers: Can fly, iron beak, copper claws
Harpies Despite appearances a Harpy is far more bird than man. A creature with the head and breasts of a woman, and

and consume their innards.

the unworthy off at great height.

Peryton In many ways similar to a Pegasus, this is basically a dark green deer with wings. Strangely they cast the
shadow of a man, which confuses many, who see a mans shadow coming towards them quickly with no man
to cast it.
